Discovery Mining Ltd. (TSX: DSV, OTCQX: DSVSF) reported August 10, 2026 that underground drilling at its Borden Mine has extended the Main Zone over half a kilometre down-plunge to the northeast — a structural step-out underpinned by hole 585-00275, which returned 9.16 g/t Au over 25.9m, including 18.40 g/t over 4.0m and 21.52 g/t over 4.8m.
The results are part of a 21-hole, 7,036m sample program that the company says continued to confirm and expand mineral resources while significantly extending mineralization in the Main Zone, the primary source of current production at Borden.
Other underground intercepts in the batch: 12.79 g/t over 7.3m (including 18.45 g/t over 4.4m) in hole 585-00142; 7.01 g/t over 10.2m in hole 585-00148; 9.23 g/t over 14.0m (including 13.41 g/t over 8.3m) in hole 585-00306; 4.75 g/t over 19.3m (including 7.90 g/t over 5.0m) in hole 585-00305; and 6.11 g/t over 3.2m in hole 585-00130. Holes 585-00142 and 585-00130 were drilled approximately 100 metres down-plunge of the current inferred resource; holes 585-00305 and 585-00306 were drilled 75 to 100 metres to the east.
East Lower Zone drilling added further weight: 13.33 g/t over 13.2m (including 31.04 g/t over 4.7m); 6.92 g/t over 12.9m (including 9.16 g/t over 7.3m); 5.25 g/t over 15.4m (including 10.09 g/t over 5.5m); and 10.21 g/t over 3.9m.
The strategic context is the resource calendar. In a separate August 5, 2026 news release on GlobeNewswire, Discovery reported assays from 55 holes (17,845.5m) completed between Q4 2025 and Q2 2026 at its Dome, TVZ, and Owl Creek growth projects. That program returned intercepts including a quartz vein grading 278.48 g/t Au over 1.1m. The company is targeting a Dome resource update and an initial NI 43-101 resource for TVZ, both before the end of 2026.
CEO Tony Makuch was direct about the link between the drill results and that timeline: "The excellent drilling results we are announcing today are extremely encouraging as we work towards releasing NI 43-101 resource estimates at Dome and TVZ before the end of 2026, and further advancing Owl Creek."
On the operational side, Discovery's Q2 2026 results — reported August 13, 2026 on GlobeNewswire — include one month of production from the Kidd Operations, acquired June 1, 2026. Full-year 2026 guidance calls for 260,000–300,000 oz of production, back-half weighted, with operating cash costs of $1,250–$1,400/oz, AISC of $1,950–$2,250/oz, sustaining capital of $120M–$165M, and growth capital of $195M–$235M.
DSV last traded at CA$10.43, up 23.9% year to date, against a gold December futures price of $4,419.60 per troy ounce as of 7:54 a.m. ET on August 14, 2026.
What's actually next: the Dome resource update and TVZ initial NI 43-101 resource, both targeted for late 2026, with the 255,000–285,000m 2026 exploration program ongoing across all four project areas.
