Another month, another U.S. government award for Safe Pro Group. On June 23, the Aventura, Florida-based company (NASDAQ: SPAI) announced a new $1.3 million U.S. Government subcontract, awarded under defense prime contractor Forterra, to integrate its real-time AI explosive threat detection technology into autonomous unmanned ground vehicles.

Safe Pro specializes in AI-enabled security and defense solutions built around its patented SPOTD (Safe Pro Object Threat Detection) platform, which uses computer vision and machine learning to identify more than 150 types of explosive threats — landmines, cluster munitions, unexploded ordnance and ambush drones — from imagery. The system is trained on one of the world's largest real-world drone imagery datasets: more than 2.8 million drone images with over 50,368 confirmed detections collected across more than 35,000 acres. The new subcontract funds integration and testing of that AI pipeline onboard UGVs for on-the-move operations, extending SPOTD from aerial imagery into ground robotics under a leading U.S. defense prime — a notable channel for a micro-cap.

Safe Pro remains a very small company dependent on a limited number of government awards, and follow-on funding is not assured. This is market commentary, not investment advice — small-cap technology stocks are highly speculative and you can lose your entire investment.
