Federal cybersecurity compliance is getting an AI upgrade, and Telos Corporation just landed another Air Force win on the back of it. On July 9, the Ashburn, Virginia-based company announced a contract award to support the U.S. Air Force Distributed Common Ground System, the service's primary intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance planning, processing, analysis and dissemination network.

Telos, a Nasdaq-listed provider of cyber, cloud and enterprise security solutions with a market value around $300 million, will supply perpetual licenses for Xacta.ai along with support and maintenance for its broader Xacta platform, including Xacta 360 and Xacta.io. Xacta automates cyber governance, risk and compliance work across complex enterprise environments, while Xacta.ai layers artificial intelligence on top to accelerate compliance activities and sharpen risk visibility. The award expands the Air Force's existing use of Telos software and deepens the company's footprint inside one of the service's flagship intelligence programs — the kind of embedded, recurring-relationship business that federal security vendors prize.

No contract value was disclosed, and Telos remains heavily dependent on federal customers, leaving results exposed to government budget cycles and award timing. This is market commentary, not investment advice — small-cap technology stocks are highly speculative and you can lose your entire investment.
